PAPER SKIN
This project was for my Senior Art Show at the University of Montevallo Art Gallery. I chose to illustrate the concept of memory through an installation of a life size paper doll of myself. There were four different pieces/articles of clothing that represented memories of substantial realization of self.
Each piece started out as an art piece of a different medium: oil painting, woodblock print, fabric painting, and photography. The pieces were then scanned and printed in dress form to fit the doll. The installation was interactive; guests could rotate the lever to view the different outfits on the doll.
